Project 5B

Main Topic                            : Environment & Community

OBJECTIVES                              :


  • To enhance students’ understanding of basic elements and components of neighbourhood planning through their observation of the existing neighbourhood area.
  • To enhance students’ understanding of the main physical and non-physical factors that should be considered in planning and designing a layout plan for neighbourhood area.
  • To expose the students with basic planning technical knowledge.
  • To enhance students’ ability in critically analysing the common issues of neighbourhood or residential area development, especially in terms of site context, human and community needs and the possible effect of the development to its surroundings.
  • To expose students to the task of gathering information from local authorities and incorporating relevant information in their planning-related studio projects.
  • To improve students’ skills in analytical thinking, observing, sketching, rendering, colouring, writing description and composing graphical images.






The suggestion for the improvement:
1) Prepared a bicycle lane for bicyclists and joggers to improve quality of life.

2) Prepared recycle bins surrounding the neighbourhood area is good for environment and save energy.

3) Prepared a multipurpose hall for activities.

4) Prepared a eco pond provide sustainable environment , cool its surrounding, additional of open space and     lets children learning opportunities about nature.

Neighbourhood area that i choose is Setia Greens, Sungai Ara.This is GBI certification with 1st residential project. This presentation drawing including key plan, location plan, site plan and few photo of Setia Greens.

Project 4

Main Topic                            : Visual Presentation Skills

OBJECTIVES                             :
  • To introduce students with basic technical or presentation drawings as a medium of communication in built environment.
  • To enhance students’ skills in communicating the ideas and presenting their design through a set of scaled 2D and 3D drawings.
  • To improve students’ skills in rendering, colouring and composing graphical images.

This is a comfortable chair with concept unity. The puzzle design of the chair representing filled together into a single unity. Each individual puzzle representing we have different religions, language, colored skin, places around the world but we live together in peace.

Project 3B

Main Topic                            : Application of Design Elements and Principles

OBJECTIVES                              :

  • To improve students’ ability in applying suitable elements and principles of design in producing a functional structure.
  • To expose the students to the challenges of designing a small structure that is a result of a connection or combination of two or more objects.
  • To improve students’ skills in developing and communicating the ideas through conceptual scale model making.
  • To enhance students’ ability in designing a creative form of object and space with the understanding of human physiology, ergonomic and comfort factors based on basic technical knowledge.
